Moog in China

In China, Moog started operations in the late 1980s with the establishment of Moog Hong Kong. Founded in 1997, Moog China has five manufacturing facilities and offices located in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. In March 2007, Moog opened a new facility in Shanghai to reinforce Moog’s manufacturing, engineering, sales, and service capabilities to provide full system solutions to local Chinese customers, and global customers with a presence in China. In 2009, Moog established its second manufacturing facility in Shanghai with the acquisition of the wind power business LTi REEnergy.

Moog’s main industrial markets in China include Plastics Machinery, Power Generation, Heavy Industry, Aerospace and Automotive Testing. Moog China is the centre in Asia for both the automotive testing solutions and the manufacturing of Electric-Mechanical pitch control systems for the company.
Today the company is leading the Chinese markets through high-performance motion control products and systems owing to advanced technology, localized teams and capabilities, a nationwide presence and global support.. To date, China Moog has more than 270 employees dedicated to meeting the needs of local customers and supporting the company’s mission to help China fulfil its potential as a global economic powerhouse.

Sep. 1989: Established Moog Hong Kong
Nov. 1997: Established Moog China
April 1998: Moved into facility in Jin Qiao Processing and Export Zone in Shanghai
Nov. 2003: Second facility in Wai Gao Qiao (WGQ) Free Trade Zone in Shanghai
Feb. 2006: Established Moog Beijing
March 2007: Moved to new WGQ Facility in Shanghai
May 2007: Established Moog Guangzhou
June 2009: Established 2nd manufacturing facility in Shanghai – Gaohang For wind energy
